British Education Proposals

March 29th, 2009 · 4 Comments

Cap and Trade???

March 29th, 2009 · 1 Comment

This part of Obama’s plan is being met with a lot of criticism lately.  Wondering why?  The Council on Foreign Relation’s website has an interview with several leading economists who give their opinions for and against “cap and trade.”  I also added this site to my blogroll.  Their website is (in their own words) “an online [...]

March 15th, 2009 · No Comments

One of the reasons we struggle to understand concepts like totalitarianism is because it’s so foreign from the values that we as Americans have internalized. Comedian Ricky Gervais hits on something here when asked about differences in writing for UK and US audiences:

Happy Anniversary To Me

March 4th, 2009 · 5 Comments

This little project of mine began as an assignment in a graduate course I was taking on using technology in education. The other assignments I never really pursued with much passion—Ning, anyone? Twitter still [...]

Hague Tribunal

March 2nd, 2009 · No Comments

A few of you mentioned this in class.  The trial is being run by the U.N. world court on behalf of Lebanon—so it’s a little different from what the world court normally does, but obviously still a very important function of a world court.
This CNN video provides some background info:

Edited to add: Also, on March [...]
