A Doll’s House, Connections to Today?
So, obviously the purpose of the Doll’s House assignment was to help you understand the condition of women in the 1800s and also to showcase how a certain author, Henrik Ibsen, spoke out in favor of women’s rights. However, I wonder if there are any lessons from this story that we can relate to in 2008? Secondly, I wonder if any of you can think of an artist or author or performer who uses his or her talents to not only entertain, but also to speak out against a social injustice.
